Gott was catapulted onto the fast track of high-profile
California winemaking when she was named winemaker at Phelps. The job included
the stewardship of the noted Joseph Phelps Insignia. Then she spent 5 years as winemaker for Quintessa, a Napa Valley
producer of an ultra-premium blended red wine. The move also allows Gott to spend more time helping her winemaker husband,
Joel Gott, with his own brand, Joel Gott wines.
