The Cabernet Sauvignon in this blend comes from Block 2A at the Tench Vineyard, which is all red dirt. This soil profile gives us more blue fruits then black, but the tannins are also a little gentler, which we balance by blending in Cabernet Franc. Cabernet Franc has massive tannins. That addition adds concentration and structure, pulling the wine back on the palate for a mouthwatering finish. There is no doubt the concentration we achieved blending the EE in 2019 is phenomenal. 97 Points, Jeb Dunnuck
