The 2012 Gypsy is the red headed step sister of the Grenache. She's edgy yet sexy, and un-apologetic for her wild ways. The nose has ethereal notes of raw red meat, black currant, a hint of clove, juxtaposed by roasted blackberries, and dark chocolate on the fore and mid palate. She always leaves you wanting more with her long herbaceous finish and chalky tannins. Drink now with a decant and for a decade or so. 69% Grenache, 21% Syrah, 7% Mourvedre, 3% Viognier. Just 364 cases made.
