Beautiful aromas of vibrant black berry fruit with notes of lavender and minerals. This full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is deep and rich on the palate, just as sexy as any `07 Cabernet can get, with gorgeous notes of cassis, wild blackberry, and black plum fruit, baking chocolate, graphite and vanilla, with well-integrated French oak, and silky ripe tannins, reflective of the `07 vintage. This exhibits great finesse, even in its youth, finishing long and strong. Excellent effort from Paul Hobbs with 100% Cabernet Sauvignon Clone 7 from Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard, the finest Cabernet vineyard in Napa Valley. This was aged in 90% new French oak for 23 months and bottled unfiltered and unfined. Only 200 cases made.
