2009 T-Vine Cellars Grenache Paras Vyd
The
Paras Vineyard Grenache is the new, high elevation partner to our
valley floor Napa Valley Grenache. This elegant Mount
Veeder
version
shows an intensity that comes from growing grapes in a site that is
downright abusive to grapes. The dry, windy, hillside conditions
force the vines to struggle throughout the growing season. These
conditions cause the Grenache to ripen slowly and develop the
intricate flavors that only come with extended hang
time. Our inaugural
vintage of Paras Vineyards Grenache expresses bright pomegranate,
cranberry and cherry, complemented by deep undertones of
blackberry, toasted oak and cinnamon. After allowing the flavors to
develop in one-year-old French Oak, the wine has been bottle aged
for 12 months prior to release. We love how this wine comes across
as subtle at first and the flavors build to an explosion in your
mouth. The finish is as long as the drive up Mount Veeder
Road to get to the scenic
Paras property. 372 cases
