2008 T-Vine Cellars Zinfandel Napa Valley
With maturity comes wisdom. We love old vines and their ability to
adapt in the tough years. 2008 was an interesting year in the Napa
Valley. The cold spring caused a late and small fruit set. The
average yield in Napa was down 25% to 30%. The old reliable
Frediani Zinfandel vines have been through decades of vintages and
these old soldiers seem to know just what to do when times get
tough. In 2008 the vines chose to produce much less fruit but
didn’t hold back on the intensity. The result is a Zinfandel
with powerful spicy goodness and brambleberry jamminess the old
vine parents would be proud of. Tough times build character
and this little gem has more than it’s share.790 cases
