2008 Joseph Kent Gris Gris Red Wine
Pronounced (Gree-Gree), this term in Voodoo represents a small
blend of ersonal items that help bring good luck and ward off
evil spirits. At Joseph Kent Wines we believe this small blend of
Bordeaux varietals can do much the same. This wine uses four of the
five noble varieties starting with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot,
Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot. The Petit Verdot contributes
elements of spice, earth, and floral notes to the aromatic profile
of the wine. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot add layers of ripe
berries, blueberry, and cherry complexes to the palate. The
Cabernet Franc lends nuances of anise and dark chocolate. All of
these varietals combine with new French Oak to integrate into a
very well rounded presence of tannins creating a structure that
finishes strong
