2006 Sea Smoke Cellars Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills Southing
94pts(WN)“Other Outstanding Pinot Noirs” Wine News
December/January 2008
92pts (IWC) Saturated red. Powerfully scented nose displays
sexy red and dark berry liqueur, candied cherry and a musky floral
quality. Deeply concentrated black raspberry and cherry flavors are
energized by tangy minerals and pick up rooty licorice and
sassafras with air. Finishes with notes of black pepper and smoky
Indian spices and excellent persistence. Josh Raymolds

90ptsWS: "Firm and well-structured, with a mix of spicy dried
berry, currant, blackberry and blueberry, picking up a nice touch
of mineral and sage and ending with well-integrated tannins. Drink
now through 2012." - JL winery notes: The 2006 Sea Smoke Southing
Pinot Noir shows elegant fruit, a rich middle palate, firm tannins
and Sea Smoke Vineyard’s signature cool climate acidity. Aromas of
wild blueberries, violets and a subtle dustiness are characteristic
of this wine. We recommend decanting thirty to sixty minutes prior
to drinking, particularly if consumed before 2010. 100% Pinot Noir
